The village of Bartošovice lies 13 km northeast of Nový Jičín in the valley floodplain of the Odra River and the Bartošovice brook. Most of Bartošovice with the local part of Hukovice is located in the Poodří Protected Landscape Area. The first written sources in which the village is mentioned are from the years 1383 - 1398. In Bartošovice there is a sports complex, which is located in the center of the village. It consists of a football field with sports cabins and facilities. They are followed by a shelter with a podium, which is used for organizing sports and cultural events. In 2008, a new multi-purpose playground with an artificial surface and lighting was built. In the village there is a primary and kindergarten, library, cinema.
