In the southern foothills of the Hrubý Jeseník at the confluence of the Morava and Moravská Sázava rivers lies the village of Zvole. It lies 6 km south of Zábřeh and 7 km north of Mohelnice. The village with more than 850 inhabitants is part of the Zábřežsko micro-region. The first written mention of Zvole dates from 1273. The surroundings of Zvole are hilly, partly wooded, suitable for mushroom picking and blueberry picking. The facilities of the village include its own kindergarten, primary school, medical facility, post office, library, grocery stores and consumer goods and hospitality. There is an electrification, gas pipeline, water supply, sewerage and wastewater treatment plant.
