The village of Bohuslavice with more than 500 inhabitants lies in the foothills of the Jeseníky Mountains about 7 km north of the town of Mohelnice. There are almost no forests in the cadastre of the village, the land is mostly arable, a large part consists of meadows. Bohuslavice was founded around 1250 at the initiative of the owner of the Dubička estate, Beneda. The name is probably derived from Bohuslav, who was popularly described as a fisherman who managed ponds belonging to the nobility and was entrusted with the establishment of a village for his faithful services. There is a kindergarten, primary school, a library, two shops, a restaurant, a summer restaurant and a cultural house, which also serves as a gym. Active associations include firefighters, hunters, fishermen and hockey.
